The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has halted work on the second version of the Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML), and has instead redirected its energies to the next version, HTML 5.
The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) will issue chip-based Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) from next year with more information of the card holder and enhanced security features.
